HONG KONG, September 23, 2018 -- Arovia, Inc., the developer and manufacturer of the first fully collapsible and portable display solution, today was announced as a semi-finalist in theOctober 2018 Startup Launchpad Investment Competition (SLIC). SLIC is a competition created for seed or early stage hardware startups that are less than five years old and have a working prototype of their product. The semi-finalists will be judged on their product idea, business model, team, market validation, and overall presentation.
Arovia Co-Founder and CEO Alex Wesley said he was honored that Arovia was selected out of such a large pool of applicants. “Not only is the Investment Competition a great opportunity for Arovia, but the Startup Launchpad Expo will give us a platform to show off the latest SPUD prototype, and hopefully make some great connections in such an important hardware community,” said Wesley. “We are extremely excited to present at one of the largest sourcing trade shows in the world!
Arovia will be competing for $40,000 in cash to put toward SPUD development. The company will also be participating in the Startup Launchpad Exhibition, presenting SPUD to an audience of 35,000 retailers, 6,000 manufacturers, and 250 investors.
