Built through AbilityOne and supported by preferential NASA SEWP and no-bid pathways, Arovia has aligned the key pieces. We’re looking for a Government Sales Lead who can execute quickly and scale this channel.

120-Day Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
This role begins as a 120-day 1099 independent contractor engagement designed for rapid execution and mutual fit. You’ll step directly into an active pipeline, proven use cases, and established contract pathways—with the expectation of driving near-term revenue.
During the 120-day period, you will receive:
• $5,500/month retainer
• 4% uncapped commission on gross sales
• Expense reimbursement (travel, customer engagement, events)
• $150/month internet & phone allowance
Through strong performance, consistent collaboration with the Arovia team, and demonstrated ability to move deals to close, this role transitions into a full-time Government Sales Lead position with salary, equity, and expanded incentives.

What You’ll Do
As our Government Sales Lead, you will own and drive revenue growth for Splay across military, federal, and first responder markets. You will have a high degree of autonomy with strong internal support to execute on business development and sales.


Core Responsibilities
• Own the full sales cycle from lead qualification through close and post-sale support.


Develop and close opportunities across:
o Department of Defense
o military branches and installations
o first responder agencies
o federal, state, and local procurement channels


Travel to:
o military bases
o field exercises
o trade shows
o industry events to represent Arovia and generate qualified opportunities


• Work closely with Arovia’s distributor and reseller partners to activate existing contract access and expand deal flow


Support end users through:
o product evaluations
o demos
o field testing / exercises
o procurement and purchasing workflows


Guide customers and partners through the right contract pathway, including (but not limited to):
o NASA SEWP
o DLA
o GSA
o SBIR / related procurement mechanisms


Track and report:
o units sold
o revenue
o pipeline health
o forecast accuracy


• Participate in weekly sales strategy calls with cross-functional Arovia teams

What We’re Looking For


Required Qualifications
• Proven successful transition into private-sector military / government sales
• Demonstrated track record of closing sales into government and defense channels
• Strong understanding of federal procurement and contract vehicles
• Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving startup environment
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-through skills
• Comfortable utilizing AI tools to streamline workflows


Willingness to travel up to 3 times per month based on:
o customer activity
o industry events
o partner opportunities


Preferred Qualifications
• Prior U.S. military service
• Direct experience selling through:
o NASA SEWP
o DLA
o GSA schedules
• Strong preference for candidates with a history of success selling through NASA SEWP
• Existing network within military procurement, integrators, and first responder agencies
• Experience with TAA-compliant products and government purchasing requirements

Full-Time Conversion (Post 120 Days)
Upon successful completion of the 120-day contract period and achievement of performance targets, this role transitions into a full-time Government Sales Lead position with the following structure:


Compensation Package
• Base salary: $75,000–$90,000 (depending on experience)
• Uncapped commission
• Performance kickers for exceeding targets
• Projected OTE: $200,000+ annually, with no ceiling
